Barry
Blanchard guides from his Canmore home in the heart of the
Canadian Rockies. A UIAGM/IFMGA Mountain Guide, Barry moved
to Canmore twenty one years ago to pursue his career as a
guide and to follow his passion for alpinism, rock climbing
and ice climbing. Barry has been global in his approach
having made 35 expeditions to climb and guide in South
America, Alaska and Northern Canada, Europe, Mexico, Nepal,
China, Pakistan and New Zealand. Making Hollywood movies is
also part of Barry&Mac226;s guiding life and he has
worked on such classics as „Cliffhanger",
„K-2", and, most recently, "The Vertical Limit".
